COPD IN INTERMITTENT HYPOXIA
Abstractof this study was to determine annual age lung function decline in COPD patients, exposed to chronic intermittent hypoxia. Materials and methods: 58 COPD patients aged 46.3 ± 5.8 years were included into this 4-year prospective study along with equal number of healthy subjects working at altitude 3800-4500 meters in Kyrgyzstan Results and conclusions: There was a marked reduction of all lung function indices in COPD patients group, including forced expiratory volume within the Ÿrst second (FEV1) – from 88.2 to 81.8% predicted (81 ml a year), whereas in healthy subjects group – only 58 ml a year (p < 0.001). Thus, COPD patients arriving or working at high altitude must be recommended to limit the time of exposure.

THE ANALYSIS OF RESULTS OF LAPAROSCOPIC CHOLECYSTECTOMY AT PATIENTS OF ELDERLY AND SENILE AGE
AbstractWe survey 699 patients who had laparoscopic cholecystectomy to 2006-2011 in National surgical center MH of the Kyrgyz Republic. Patients have been divided into 2 groups: patients aged are more senior 70 years (group A) and patients are younger than 70 years (group B). The group A has been divided further into 3 age subgroups: 70-74, 75-79 and 80 years and more senior. Estimation on scale ASA increases with age increase (P <0,001). At patients at the age of 80 years and more senior, at an acute cholecystitis conversion and postoperative complications were considerably above, than at younger patients (P> 0,05).Quality of results of laparoscopic cholecystectomy in group of patients >80 years it has appeared not more low, than in group of younger patients. Complications can be minimized at careful selection of patients aged >80 years, and operation carrying out by the skilled surgeons having high technical skills.
