THE PLACE OF KYRGYZSTAN MEDICAL INSTITUTIONS IN THE WORLD’S SCIENTIFIC RATING
AbstractThe manuscript presents data on publication activity o f scientists from Kyrgyzstan, including medicine, extracted from the SciVerse Scopus (http: www.scopus.com ) as the biggest in the world search and citation database fo r years 1995-2011 Publication activity o f selected academic and research medical institutions from Kyrgyzstan is described, including Kyrgyz State Medical Academy after J.K.Akhunbaev. These findings are compared to leading countries 'and institutions ’ratings. We also discuss proposals and recommendations to increase publications flow as well as citations o f Kyrgyzstan scientists in the field of medicine.

ACTUAL PROBLEMS OF DIABETIC NEPHROPATHY IN PATIENTS WITH TYPE 2 DIABETES
AbstractThe incidence of type 2 diabetes is rapidly increasing. Diabetic vascular complications accordingly increase as well. The development of complications is due not only to phenotypic but to genotypic factors as well. It is important to promptly identify genotypic changes and their relationship with adjustable risk factors for type 2 diabetes complications such as diubelic nephropathy.

QUALITY OF LIFE IN PATIENTS WITH DM2 WITH NEPHROPATHY AND CHRONIC KIDNEY FAILURE
AbstractThe aim of this study was to assess QOL in patients with DM2 with nephropathy and chronic kidney failure, which underwent treatment in dialysis block of the Department of Nephrology of the National Hospital 24 patients completed a SF-36v2tm questionnaire and were characterized in terms of diabetic complications. Matched groups of non-diabetic patients (n=51) and diabetic patients without complications (30) served as controls. Self-rated physical health was significantly worse (p<
0.01) in diabetic dialysis patients compared with non-diabetic patients, diabetic patients with normal kidney function and the control group. Reduced QOL related with physical and psychological components of QOL. -
COMPARATIVE CHARACTERISTICS OF THE NEW METHOD OF ASYMMETRIC FAKOTRISECTION WITH TRADITIONAL BREEDING NUCLEUS OF THE LENS DURING TUNNEL CATARACT EXTRACTION
AbstractThe new type o f surgical intervention in the lens nucleus fakotnsection» at tunnel cataract surgery using small selfsealing incisions is analyzed, with traditional breeding nucleus lens of the "sandwich ” maneuver. Operative intervention in the 2 groups is compared. It was revealed that the new method of surgical postoperative complications is less than what is reflected on the functional outcome of lower postoperative astigmatism and improving visual acuity.

SOME OF THE ISSUES OF SURGICAL TREATMENT OF INCARCERATED INGUINAL HERNIAS
AbstractAnalysis o f the treatment of 70 patients with incarcerated inguinal hernias was presented. There were 66 men and 4 women. The date of strangulation of a hernia was from 3 hours till 3 days Bossini method was used more often (51,5%'). Eight patients had postoperative complications (11,4%), one patient died (1,4%).

FREQUENCY OF LIVER ECHINOCOCCOSIS COMPLICATIONS AND RECIDIVATIONS IN DEPENDENCE OF DISINFECTION METHODS
AbstractThree methods were used fo r disinfection ofechinococc elements: hypertonic salt solution (30%)). thermal method and ozonized solutions with ozone concentration 8-10 mkg/ml with post treatment with betadin. The complications in the first group were in 1H.()%, of the patients, and recidivation was in 4.3%,; in the second group they were in 14.0% and 4.9%, accordingly. In the third group the complications were m 4.0%, of the patients, and there were no recidivations.

QUALITY OF LIFE IN OLDER PEOPLE WITH IN 2 TYPES OF DM IN ALL TOWNS OF KR
AbstractThe purpose o f this study was to determine and compare QOL in diabetes mellilus of older people in the towns of KR. 212 older people with diabetes mellilus from 6 towns of KR completed the SF36v2tm Health Survey questionnaire in Kyrgyz and Russian. 51 individuals without morbidity comprised the control group. In the result o f the research the SF-36v2tm Health Survey score was significantly impaired in older people with DM2 in all towns of KR in comparing with control group.

Если микст инвазии раньше выявлялись в новостройках, на окраинах столицы, где коммунальные благоустройства оставляют желать лучшего, то в последнее время есть данные о распространении кишечных микст инвазий в центральных районах столицы.

ECG CHANGES AND STRUCTURE OF INFARCTION ON THE BACKGROUND OF LONG-TERM USE OF ALCOHOL CONSUMP TION AND MILDRONATE RATS IN A LOW
AbstractProlonged forced alcoholization causes an increase in blood alcohol concentration, disturbance of contractility, excitability and conduction, dystrophic and atrophic changes in heart muscle. Mildronate reduced the level of alcohol, had a positive impact on the ECG without affecting ihe morphological structure of the heart.

AWARENESS OF FAMILY MEDICINE PRACTITIONERS ON TREATMENT OF TOBACCO DEPENDENCE AND THE LAWS REGULATED CONSUMPTION OF TOBACCO PRODUCTS
AbstractThe aim o f the trial is estimation o f awareness o ffam ily medicine practitioners on diagnostics and treatment of tobacco dependence and some articles o f the Laws regulated consumption o f tobacco products. M aterial and methods: the design is cross-sectional study (195 respondents). Results and conclusions: Family medicine physicians demonstrated low awareness on the laws regulated tobacco products consumption and treatment of tobacco dependence which indicate to necessity of active, measures oriented to traning of medical doctors and creation of correct professional attitude to smokers.

AbstractOzonized solutions with ozone concentration equal 8-10 mkg. ml and infrared irradiation were used in wound complications prophylaxis in 62 patients with destructive cholecystitis. During the operation wound surface and abdominal cavity were treated with ozonized solution, and then the infrared irradiation im s used.
