FEATURES OF SIALENDOSCOPY OF THE PAROTID AND SUBMANDIBULAR SALIVARY GLANDS IN THE DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENT OF PATIENTS WITH SALIVARY STONE DISEASE (preliminary report)
Abstract
Summary. The authors performed sialendoscopy in 17 patients with salivary stone disease and presented a preliminary report. It has established that the possibility of simultaneous surgical intervention on the duct system makes sialendoscopy a method of choice for diagnosis and treatment of salivary gland diseases. The method has limited capabilities in the presence of a narrow mouth and narrow ducts that limits the indications for its use. Sialoscopy is a technically complex procedure that requires organized and consistent training.
