SCARLET FEVER IN CHILDREN IN MODERN TIME

Abstract

In this work it was carried out the analysis of 47 case histories of illnesses of children who were hospitalized with a diagnosis of scarlet fever to the Republican clinical infectious diseases hospital (RCIH) in 2015 year. In the age structure of patients with scarlet fever there were predominant (76,6%) children of preschool age (from one year to 6 years). The diagnosis of scarlet fever was made in most cases (70,8% -89.4%) already in the prehospital phase on the basis of typical clinical signs of the disease. The moderate form (61,7%) of the disease was predominant. Complications occurred in 8,0% of patients with scarlet fever in the acute phase of the disease.
