HIV-INFECTION AND TUBERCULOSIS

Abstract

HIV-infection is in charge of TB-epidemic in all countries of the world. In the Kyrgyz Respublic there are 5115 cases of HIV-infection on the 1st of January 2014, 1025 patients of them have co-infection of the both diseases. 440 patients died, 326 – from tuberculosis, 114 – from other reasons. TB/HIV-co-infection patients have high risk of recurrence, failure of treatment and death.
