XPERT MTB/RIF ASSAY IN DIAGNOSIS OF EXTRA-PULMONARY TUBERCULOSIS IN THE KYRGYZREPUBLIC
Abstract
The Republican Reference Laboratory by the Xpert MTB/RIF analysis has tested 87 samples of extra-pulmonary pathological materials. We identified the DNA of M. tuberculosis in 21 cases (25%). DNA o f M.tuberculosis with a mutation in the gene rpoB, leading to the development of resistance to rifampicin, was found in 4 patients (5%). ТВ with preserved sensitivity to rifampicin was found in 17 cases (20%).
