CLINICAL FEATURES OF GENERALIZED FORMS OF MENINGOCOCCAL INFECTION IN CHILDREN

The paper presents a retrospective analysis of 114 case histories of children, aged 2 months to 14 years, admitted to Republican clinical infectious disease hospital in 2015, diagnosed with meningococcal disease, generalized form (meningitis, meningitis + meningococcemia, meningococcemia). All patients underwent a comprehensive examination, applied clinical, bacteriological, radiological methods of research. Identified clinical and epidemiological features of meningococcal infection: an increased incidence among older children, the prevalence of severe forms of the disease with complications.
