Abstract

Summary: The article presents the problem of infections in the field of surgical intervention. The material analyzes various domestic and foreign literary sources devoted to nosocomial surgical infections. Important aspects of the review are the urgency of the problem in Kyrgyzstan, Russia, the United States and Europe, the economic losses from infectious complications in surgery, prevention of SSI.
