DIFFERENTIAL DIAGNOSIS OF DIFFERENT FORMS OF OSTEOSARCOMA IN BONE STRUCTURES OF MAXILLA-FACIAL AND SKULL BASE REGIONS ON THE BASIS OF COMPUTED TOMOGRAPHY FINDINGS
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to define differential-diagnosis differences of different forms of osteosarcoma in bone structures of maxilla-facial and skull base regions on the basis of computed tom ography findings. CT examination allowed evaluating not only spread of tum or expansion, but state of affected bone structures, soft-tissue component of a tumor, boundaries and surrounding soft-tissues. In all 7 cases the final diagnose was confirmed by histology verification. CT findings in some cases allowed to make prelim inary diagnose corresponded with pathom orphological diagnose.
