IMMUNE RECONSTITUTION INFLAMMATORY SYNDROME (IRIS)
Abstract
Immune Reconstitution Inflammatory Syndrome progresses sooner after antiretroviral therapy (ART), patients, about 10%, with the number of CD4-lymphocyte less than 100 in 1 mm more frequently have that. In most cases antiretroviral therapy and treatment secondary, including opportunistic, diseases, are continued to be applied. Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs are effective. Some patients need steroid injections; cancellation of antiretroviral therapy is needed, but rarely, only in life-threatening cases.
