THE STRUCTURE OF PROTEIN-ENERGY MALNUTRITION IN THE KYRGYZ REPUBLIC
Abstract
Different types of nutritional disorders are diagnosed by 33.7% of children, including diseases of protein-energy malnutrition at 28.5%, overweight-5.2%. The most common form of protein-energy malnutrition is short stature (22.8%), less likely to have discovered the lack of body mass (4.2%) and depletion (1.5%), short stature, severe almost in 2 times more often found among children (5.7%), those living in rural areas than among urban children (2.9%). Prevalence of low body weight to three years is 3, short stature in 5.8 times compared with the figures at the age of 6 months.
